The Business Operations Sr. Manager will work alongside our six Regional Community Leaders (RCL) within the Americas Region.
The manager will partner with each RCL to drive Strategy, Planning, and Operational excellence aligned to the four strategic pillars for the Regional Leadership Strategy;
1) Talent / Culture / Community, 2) Brand and Ecosystem, 3) Innovation, and 4) Governance & compliance. This role is a key component in enabling the Future of Work transformation in a distributed-first working mindset.
Be a key thought partner in building our Regional Leadership Strategy and approach at VMware for the Americas region. Work with our functional partners, PODs, Foundation, HR and others to ideate new ways to bring together our workforce under one VMware culture with a distributed-first mindset.
Plan key activities to advance the RCL’s strategy and key objectives within their community. This includes activities such as, creating an annual programming calendar as well as supporting budgeting planning during the annual & quarterly planning processes in conjunction with our Finance partners.
Deliver operational excellence through achieving or exceeding the goals and commitments we set with our community leaders, their councils & ambassadors.
Communicate and build cross organizational partnerships to help achieve the goals of the community. This role will frequently interact with our senior leaders across the company.
Support each RCL in QBRs, Monthly council meetings, Townhall meetings, VMSocial presence, communications planning, coffee chats and other activities.
Partner globally with other regional community business operations peers in EMEA and APJ. Proactively sharing best known methods as well as adopting best practices being developed within their communities.
This role includes building, guiding, and developing a team of three employees to achieve our regional business operation priorities.
BA or BS in Business, Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred.
5 - 8+ years of Business Operations or Site Strategy experience with a strong record of career progression.
Experience in managing through people and / or teams to achieve exceptional outcomes
Ability to multi-task and manage multiple activities.
Experience in driving operational models and timely delivery.
Strong Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience working in an enterprise software, SaaS, or other hi-tech company is a plus
