The Rosemount Marketing Engineer for Latin America is responsible for provide support to the product line management, (eg.
Identifying growth opportunities through defining new product needs, or through new applications, and identifying opportunities to create value and customer loyalty through ways to communicate these values effectively to the audience), and the deployment of the Business Unit defined growth programs through the virtual team of Country leaders.
Success in this role is for a large part measured on the product line performance itself; through it is important that the leader in this role looks at Rosemount as a business of which the product group is an important part.
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead Product Group Business
Develop and implement short and long-term business strategies and goals for the product line
Coordinate actions within country leaders to ensure sufficient focus on the product line in the sales channel.
Take direct responsibility as a Marketing product Engineer leading :
Support M&A and Pervasive Sensing team activities for :
Product line management
Product tiering and positioning, portfolio management
Closely monitor volume and price / discount trends; develop price programs
Deliver the new product launches -built by the Product Group- to the region
Ensure plan is understood and supported by the RMT and EMR and LBP sales organizations and that everyone is clear on their roles and deliverables in the plan.
Follow up on product profitability and educate the channel on tier management to maximize price and profitability.
Provide support to sales companies, sales tools and training
Deliver sales trainings, value propositions, sales tools, promotional material, best practices, etc.
Develop competitive displacement strategies and tools
Preparation and delivery of customer presentations; participate at customer events etc.
Ensure that collateral material (QBR Proven Results, etc) originated in the region has the visibility at the Product Group team members, and it is also published and available in the proper channels
Participate with the Sales Channel and Customers to generate documents, abstracts, and presentations to be presented at the Emerson Exchange or any other similar event.
Support marketing strategies through analysis of sales data and current competitive position.
Recommends pricing policy consistent with profit and volume goals.
Assist in coordination of industry or product trade shows.
Identify growth opportunities -application, markets, technologies
Market research for the product line (market segmentation, sizes, participation rates, growth rates
Co-ordinate local marketing initiatives with global marketing initiatives.
Support Country Planning initiatives
Actively communicate local needs to Product Companies; review Product Company Customer Requirement Documents
Secondary function is to generate material when the region requires specific customization of marketing deliverables.
Be an active member and support the continuous development of the product marketing team
Actively lead and support cross-product activities
Wireless, Safety / SIS, Industry, Instrument Consultancy, GML initiatives etc.
Any other responsibility as assigned by the company
Inform the channel of issues where appropriate incl. co-ordinate recalls and CAR holds
Participate in POR S&OP process and provide input and monitor outcome vs forecast.
Maintain a positive Rosemount image with customers and peers
Availability to travel to any part of the world and comply with the respective vaccines.
