Job Description

The Web Content Manager is a key member of Sage Intacct’s Web team and will be leading the effort to maximize the use of the website, resource center and blog contents to improve engagement, lead generation and lead quality.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing content direction, ensure that the content of a is well-structured, easy to find and meets the needs of the different personas, provide editorial direction guidance, develop and optimize content types and creative assets to add interactivity and functionality when needed, and apply quality assurance guidelines on assigned projects, and maintaining content assets organization.

As a Web Content Manager, you will work collaboratively with our marketing partners, including but not limited to product marketing managers, industry leaders, creative team and other Sage Intacct stakeholders.

You will serve as the liaison between the web marketing team and the different functional groups and stakeholders at Sage Intacct, focused on ensuring our content is top-notch is terms of both aesthetics and editorial standards.

Key projects include organizing publishing schedules, meeting with the stakeholders and guiding them thru content best-practice, publishing goals, and recommending website enhancements.

Key ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities :

  • Work with marketing partners, and production team to measure content efficiency (usage, adoption, and reach), brand awareness, lead generation, customer dedication, and user engagement.
  • Own the CMS, and work with the dev team to ensure the CMS meets the editorial needs
  • Conduct content audits to identify gaps and duplications in the site content
  • Build and implement content schedules for marketing partners to produce or update content
  • Produce maps and visualizations of the site to help marketing partners understand the structure and function of the website
  • Write and edit web copy, and develop policies relating to web content and style
  • Analyze different data sources to learn how users interact with the website
  • Survey users and hold focus groups to learn about how different personas view the website and its content
  • Train our marketing partners in writing and producing content for the web
  • Make recommendations on how to increase the efficiency of content management tools
  • Analyze content marketing tools intended to drive traffic, engagement, lead generation, conversion and retention
  • Analyze competitors in the industry to identify strengths and weaknesses
  • Develop editorial calendar based on audience needs and partners' expectations
  • Edit and proofread content in its initial stages to ensure it is on strategy and on brand
  • Systematize the scheduling and requesting of copy and visual assets, develop playbooks and in-take processes for content submission requests
  • Lead content creation workflow and build monthly content calendars
  • Audit the current instance of the CMS and provide recommendations for optimizing use of the platform
  • Ensure Q / A process is adhered to for all assigned projects
  • Work closely and collaborate with SEO specialist(s), and ensure SEO best practice standards for content, images, and all other digital assets for existing and new pages based on SEO guidelines
  • Collaborate with the creative team for layout and wire framing of new pages (as needed) and deliver enhanced, optimized templates
  • Initiates A / B testing and multivariate testing and reports on results to the stakeholders
  • Oversee the content dashboard, prioritize, assigned, and communicate status to the partners
  • Partner with Director of Web Marketing to schedule and prioritize website content schedule
  • Requirements :

  • 5+ years of experience in content editorial with web production and / or marketing operations background
  • Strong editorial skills : able to write, proofread, and edit content; develop and own an editorial calendar to ensure timely content;
  • and, collaborate with marketing partners and design team to ensure consistent brand messages across all channels

  • Use SEO tactics and CMS to improve search rankings, optimize content, and analyze user engagement and work closely with a technical team to maintain site standards
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or relevant field of study, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of UX, SEO standard methodology, and other factors that impact web conversions
  • Tried passion for web technology and driving outstanding UX
  • Passionate and curious about finding opportunity on process improvement
  • Experience using enterprise CMS, knowledge of Drupal and / or WordPress content management system
  • Understanding of user experience standard methodologies, navigational structures, site architecture etc. A strong understanding of designing for site functionality, interaction, site architecture, user interfaces, and intuitive navigation schemes
  • In-depth knowledge with digital experience tools like ContentSquare, Ceros and similar tools
  • Solid understanding of on-page SEO best practices
  • Able to receive and follow through on creative input and direction from creative team, and ability to exercise good creative judgment as it pertains to arranging content on web pages in a manner consistent with layout and direction provided
  • Have confidence and maturity when presenting concepts to a group; must be comfortable interacting with upper management
  • Proactive, adaptable, able to perform well under pressure, and good at problem-solving. Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced and multifaceted work environment and adhere to deadlines
  • Flexible and agile with ability to adapt quickly and be effective in new situations
  • High level of attention to detail with excellent interpersonal / project management skills
