Adobe's professional Digital Video and Audio group (DVA) aims to provide best of class content creation tools to creatives working with audio, video, and motion graphics.
The video tools in Adobe Creative Cloud are built around an open platform allowing our technology partners to offer tightly integrated workflows to our mutual customers in markets such as OTT, Feature Film, Post-Production, Broadcast, Social Video Creators and Corporate Video Creation, etc.
The Principal Partner Manager, Adobe DVA Community and Business Development, will be responsible for managing several strategic partner relationships, be the conduit between the internal cross functional teams and the partners while driving the relationships forward with a strong business acumen, deep technical understanding and exercising leadership to support the broader teams’ strategic goals.
This leader will be responsible for fueling and creating an amazing community of audio, video and motion graphics enthusiasts worldwide, and bringing all the companies and services in this ecosystem together to provide seamless workflows for our customers.
The Role :
Designs a community strategy that enables partners to engage and learn from their peers as they build creative video products and solutions in their organizations.
Ready to iterate, test, build and rebuild with input from our partner community.
Increases community engagement and participation, and proactively identifying opportunities to drive awareness by working with the marketing and sales teams globally.
Manages multiple partner relationships and develops a strategic plan for each that will optimize their effectiveness and value-add to Adobe.
Knows and thinks partner tiering, partner journeys and partnership monetization opportunities.
Outlines a detailed business plan for the assigned alliances including defining mutual value propositions, GTM strategy on joint solutions, performance metrics, marketing, relationship mapping and governance.
Provides recommendations to senior DVA management regarding new partnership, alliances, and business growth opportunities.
Leads key program projects such as the development of PRM, partner portal / finder microsite, partner and contact database, data analysis and reporting in conjunction with the in-house Data Science team, and other partner and product initiatives.
Leads negotiations of terms of agreement with potential partners. Collaborates with Legal, Sales and other stakeholders to prepare and finalize contract terms.
Leads M&E industry events including NAB and IBC, Siggraph, and Adobe MAX.
Experience, Skills and Job Requirements :
Understands the Adobe DVA value proposition to help re-imagine the Adobe community and partner value proposition.
10+ years experience in community building, business development and / or alliance management. MBA is a strong plus.
Top notch organizational and analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills. A combination of technical product background and customer interface experience is ideal.
Experience with establishing relationships to build credibility and influence at all levels of the organization.
Passion, Urgency and Confidence is a must.
International and cross-cultural work experience.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate business opportunities and potential partners with an integrated view of technical, market, and business factors.
Demonstrated experience working effectively with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Legal, Finance, Data Science, Engineering, Marketing and Executives across the board.
Ability to manage multiple partners in situations where there are conflicting priorities.
Financial acumen and effective business negotiation skills.
Ability to travel up to 25-50% of time, once business travel is open again.
