Lionbridge is looking for a Language Lead to join our team in Costa Rica. The Language Lead is responsible for creating and managing the references and linguistic tools necessary for the progress of the project.
The Language Lead will work in close collaboration with the project manager and the translators to allow the realization of a project and act as the link between the project management teams and the linguistic teams.
What You Will Do
Perform small linguistic tasks such as translation, editing, proofreading, linguistic testing, on an as needed basis.
Analyze source project files to assess the linguistic requirements and terminology needs and prepare instructions for external translation partners.
Assess potential linguistic issues and make recommendations on risks and contingencies.
Participate in defining the language strategy, coordinate all linguistic activities to ensure correct execution of plan, and provide input for post-project analysis.
Perform Quality Control steps : Spot checks files to ensure that they comply with the project's instructions, LLQA, etc.
Manage linguistic issues and queries.
Drive client review processes, participate in client meetings including QBRs
Participate in the process to implement Machine Translation.
To Be Successful You Will Have
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in translation
Linguistic Degree is a real plus
Native speaker of Spanish as well as an excellent command of the English language is essential
An excellent eye for detail and strong communication skills, both written and oral
Good organizational and time management skills
Eager to learn and become proficient in new tools
