The challenge

The Adobe AEM Guides & Techcomm solutions consultant will closely work with our North America sales team for Adobe’s D-ALPs business unit with specific focus on Adobe’s Technical Communication and documentation solutions, including our DITA CCMS, AEM Guides.

This is a strategic role within one of our fastest growing solution stacks. This position will be the primary point of contact for all customer demos, presentations, RFPs, and proofs of concept for Adobe’s Technical communication solutions.

The primary focus areas for this position are online / web demonstrations of Adobe’s Technical Communication solutions and supporting the sales team on any technical queries.

This role will be also provide support following demo engagements (customer proofs of concept) to ensure technical validation of Adobe solutions.

This role may also include occasional travel for customer onsite meetings and represent Adobe Tech Comm at industry events and conferences.

Customer engagement

Establish rapport and mutual understanding of customer objectives

Initial discovery and use case validation.

Qualify customer opportunities & position the right Adobe solutions.

Makes a concentrated effort to understand competitors landscape & value position Adobe solution benefits.

Communicate business value and technology fit for customer use cases

Complete customer requests for proposal / information (RFP / RFI)

Custom product demonstrations

Extensive, customized proof of concept exercises with qualified customers

Q&A sessions with key IT, executive, and business user stakeholders

Post-sale configuration and troubleshooting support as needed

Serve as the primary advocate for customers and liaison between customers and product management team

Create sales presentations, customer facing collaterals, cheat sheets, sample projects (proofs of concept)

Internal / partner engagement and alignment

Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product management teams across Adobe to drive awareness of AEM Guides platform & Techcomm applications.

Conduct product enablement sessions with sales team members and partners on a periodic basis.

Maintain and grow relationships with new and existing Adobe partners

Industry alignment and outreach

Evangelize AEM Guides platform & Techcomm apps.

Presenting at industry conferences, both virtually and in-person

Creating and presenting webinars and other virtual events

Keep up to date on industry trends and help both Adobe and our customers establish a vision for the future

What you need to succeed

Personal skills

Passion for learning new technologies and presenting to customer stakeholders

Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Ability to work autonomously, be self-motivated and a strong team player

Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

Experience presenting to a wide range of audiences

Preference for candidates from consulting, solution architects, pre-sales, business development backgrounds.

Willingness for occasional travel (less than 20%)

Technical skills

Bachelor’s degree in a computer science or related technical discipline

5+ years of relevant work experience (pre-sales / solutions consulting / technical communications domain)

Experience with technical documentation tools, such as Adobe FrameMaker and Robohelp

Experience with enterprise DITA Component Content Management Systems (CCMS) and large-scale documentation projects

Experience with Adobe Experience Manager and related solutions

Working knowledge or sound understanding of technology such as HTML, DITA XML, XSLT, and related technologies
