Position Description

The person hired for the AS400 Financial Systems Specialist will be part of the GSC RTR team and will be responsible for providing global system and project support for the local and GSC finance teams, as well as coordinating system standardization and automation efforts.

The primary geographies in scope for this role are Latin America and Asia.

The AS400 Financial Systems Specialist responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following :

  • Support of maintenance and additional projects (enhancements) in AS400
  • Coordinate the Concur go live / payroll related projects in AS400
  • Support month end close transmission from LA / Asia countries (approx. 80 entities)
  • Specific activities throughout the month
  • Up to 10% travel to Asia
  • Will need to work flexible hours when support for Asia is required
  • Basic Qualifications :

  • 5 years of experience working with AS400 in a Financial environment
  • Bacherlor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (completed)
  • Strong Accounting background (CMA, CPA)
  • Fluent English - read, write, speak
  • A problem solver with a client service and quality oriented mindset
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team oriented person who can focus on the details
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • 7+ years of experience working with AS400 (version 12), BPCS (version 6.0.04) and ICAP (version 4) in a Financial environment
  • AS400 scripting and coding writing experience
  • Master’s degree or higher (Licenciatura, Maestria) in Accounting or Finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Financial Information Systems
  • Process improvement experience Lean Six Sigma experience or certification
  • Experience communicating and working with other Areas including Asia
  • Working at 3M
