Senior Event Operations Manager

Adobe is looking for a senior event marketing professional who has outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of event marketing operations and strategy and has shown experience executing best-in-class large scale user events.

You will need to be able to handle the operational strategy and execution of our larger corporate events with a focus on maximizing the customer experience.

What you'll Do

  • Manage operational strategy for 15,000+ corporate conferences based on overall corporate and marketing objectives.
  • Identify and present opportunities for enhancing the overall customer experience using innovative ideas, technology, and cutting edge offerings, enabling Adobe to stay ahead of the event industry in trends and best practices.
  • Oversee 3rd party vendors and contractors that handle operational areas including but not limited to logistics, hotels, network, IT equipment, production, F&B, signage, attendee flow.
  • Organise and assign all space associated with the overall program; communicate with stakeholders and align priorities with demand
  • Communicate across event team members, internal stakeholders and employees, third party vendors / contractors and venues.
  • Ensure the team has information they need to work together towards the overall goals.

  • Bring together appropriate people in decision making processes and disseminate results to appropriate parties; develop relationships across the business to understand strategic objectives as the business changes and grows.
  • Handle multi-million-dollar budget including oversight, collection of data, reporting and reconciliation
  • Collaborate across corporate event organization in order to positively determine solutions and maximize resources. Drive organization and processes throughout the events team to allow for timely planning, clear communication of responsibilities
  • Back up and support areas that need additional emphasis and where resources may be lacking.
  • What are we looking for?

  • Ideally minimum of 12 years marketing experience with at least 7 years in an event marketing role in a software company.
  • At least 2 years management experience required.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Exceptional budget management, negotiation and organizational skills; track record of effectively managing a multi-million-dollar budget; detail oriented.
  • Contract negotiating skills with an ability to maximize spend and inclusions within contracts.
  • Ability to communicate both high level and detailed instruction, supervising pieces of the program, and detailed management of key areas.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering annual user conferences with more than 12K attendees
  • High energy, outgoing, teammate with a can do personality. Ability to thrive in a changing environment.
