This role will manage the WW team of RSG project managers for strategic Telco partnering onboarding for the VMware SASE business.
By working with the onboarding, compliance, and GTM teams as well as with the account executives, the RSG Project Managers ensure that telco partners navigate through the RSG program in the most expedient and efficient manner, enabling them to become productive sales partners without delay.
We are looking to hire a manager for the team who will be a "player-coach". They will themselves manage partners through the onboarding program, as well as manage the team to ensure the team is executing the program, driving value for VMware and our partners.
They will also own strategizing how to continually improve the program looking to take on practices from across VMware and the industry.
The manager will work in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Product and Services teams across the VMware SASE business.
The new leader will manage a team of 6 project managers world-wide.
Key duties :
Lead the team and provide necessary guidance and support to ensure the team is a highly skilled, motivated and engaged.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product and Services teams across the business to ensure RSG is executing effectively , as well as driving ongoing improvement in the program.
Maintain tracker with internal and external deliverables . Track milestone achievements
Track and report business impact and value generation form RSG, as well as impediments to RSG successful execution
When driving an RSG program, they will :
Engage with Account Executives (AE) during contract signing process, alerting appropriate teams of specific needs, collect information on the team
Estimate timelines and create project plan; alert functional stakeholders of deliverables Meet with external stakeholders and set expectations, timeline
Check compliance requirements internally and externally
Ensure that internal and external process systems (ERP, accounting / finance, logistics, CRM, support) are setup
Engage with sales to schedule a formal kick-off call with stakeholders including a formal signing ceremony executive dinner
Schedule regular follow-up calls with each function
Ensure each functional area stays on track alert functional heads if bottlenecks are encountered
10+ years of experience in partner or technology programs. Partner business management, sales, hands-on partner marketing, preferably, at a networking or telco company.
Advanced communication skills both written and verbal
Experience in team management or leadership.
Comfortable with reporting to executive level management
Excellent and proven project management skills
Attention to detail and process
Ability to communicate complex concepts to partners
Intermediate level proficiency with tools : SFDC, Microsoft Suite
Ability to work effectively with cross functional team
Multi-tasking and strong partner management skills
Experience working in the Telco industry
Exposure to SD-WAN and SASE a plus
