Senior Manager, Business Operations for Service Provider and Edge BU - Opportunity for Working Remotely VMware's Service Provider and Edge Business Unit (SEBU) helps our customers ('Telcos / Cable Companies') adopt virtualization and cloud technologies to transform their core network and become providers of rich 5G services.

VMware is seeking a Senior Manager, Business Operations in the Service Provider and Edge BU (SEBU). The Senior Manager reports directly to the Senior Director of Strategy, Planning & Operations, and will be responsible for driving business operations, planning and execution alignment for the business unit.

The Senior Manager role will have a breadth of exposure to many facets of our business and will have the ability to make a direct contribution to setting and helping us achieve our business goals.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has spent time in roles such as finance, business operations, data analytics, or business strategy, and who has a strong drive to get this done and good understanding of technology.

He / She has proven communication skills and the ability to collaborate with / influence cross-functional stakeholders. Responsibilities + Collaborate with the Senior Director Strategy, Planning and Operations on key business operations initiatives in support of the BU leadership team+ Support and drive key elements of the annual planning process for SEBU, including long-range planning, annual planning, 2H planning+ Support quarterly business reporting and analytics to VMware Executive Staff, PCS leadership, Finance, and Investor Relations+ Support strategic investment initiatives, such as M&A and partnering, with evaluations and business plans+ Perform analysis and develop new processes / tools in support of SEBU functional teams such as Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Partnering, and Sales Enablement+ Lead business operations initiatives to translate TEC BU strategy into operational plans, working with key stakeholders and functions such as Finance and Sales Qualifications + Over 7 years of experience with business operations or finance function+ Experience from technology, enterprise software, services, or SaaS business ideal+ Top-tier undergraduate credentials+ Excellent analytical and modeling skills with the ability to create business insights from data (excel, tableau, SFDC)+ Strong communication skills including articulate written and verbal communication+ Proven experience building and improving operations and processes+ Self-starter, accountable and strong attention to detail+ Highly organized and comfortable with multi-tasking+ Collaborative with ability to influence without authority and to work well across various BUs and functional areas within VMware Location Palo Alto, CA, or any VMware office in the US.
