SUMMARY

Responsible for maintaining the Quality Control Program at the site level in support of assigned aircraft and support equipment.

Inspect, remove, install, repair, replace, modify, disassemble, reassemble, and calibrate complex aircraft mechanical and electro-mechanical systems in accordance with maintenance manuals, test procedures and other military publications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform the receiving, in-process, final quality, flight safety inspections and functional operational tests during organizational, intermediate and depot level maintenance, modification and repair of military tactical aircraft systems or associated components.
  • Accept or reject work accomplished to ensure compliance with customer specifications, standards, and technical data.
  • Perform analysis of defects and interpret quality control rejection and failure trends in order to provide creative solutions for improvement.
  • Monitor safety, training, and certification requirements. Monitors training and certification requirements of the site Quality Control department.
  • Perform Safety and Foreign Object Damage Inspections.
  • Monitor tool control programs, inspects, and maintains records to ensure that measuring and test equipment meet calibration requirements.
  • Review aircraft forms and records IAW contract requirements.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws.
  • Promote a positive safety culture within the Quality Control department.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Required :

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • Preferred :

  • A.A. / A.S or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • FAA Inspection Authorization.
  • Required :

  • Minimum six years of experience, of which four must be specialized in supporting an aviation / aerospace program.
  • Minimum two 2 years of leadership / supervisory experience.
  • Prior Quality Control experience.
  • Host nation language proficiency per contract requirement. LATAM countries : Spanish Level 2 in both Listening and Reading (L2 / R2).
  • Must pass and / or obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) or LN Embassy Check / RSO as required for the position, prior to hire.
  • This role requires the employee to be fully vaccinated against COVID.
  • Candidates must have US passport with at least 18 months remaining. The ability to pass a pre-employment physical, urinalysis and criminal background check.
  • Preferred :

  • Previous Quality Control experience on rotary aircraft.
  • Knowledge of Army Regulations 95-1, DA PAM -8, DA PAM -, ATP 3-04.7 and / or Air Force Technical Orders System. Familiar with CFR Part 43, 91, , , Quality or Inspection procedures.
