The main focus of the position is to provide Cloud, Infrastructure, and Automation support for our Global Enterprise Services.
Additional technologies include VMWare, Citrix, Windows, Linux, Cloud, Ansible, and Security. The System Administrator Sr.
will be responsible for the maintenance, support, and troubleshooting of our infrastructure environments as well as ensuring they are highly available and secure to guarantee their operation.
Systems Administrator Sr. works under minimal direction. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to lower-level personnel.
Responsible for day to day administration of Large scale of Servers (physical and VM)
Develops automation tools and processes to help scale operations.
Audits and monitors the health and availability of systems.
Responsible for Disaster Recovery testing and restoration of critical services during DR events.
Provides systems and services expertise and drive operational best practices.
Ensures 24 / 7 availability of the production servers and applications within a team environment.
Resolves incidents and requests. Requires on-call availability on team rotation outside of normal business hours.
Leverages appropriate technical tools with direction to perform day-to-day administration tasks, root-cause analysis and service restoration (such as back up, restore, failover, log interpretation, and performance monitoring).
Develops and maintains positive and cooperative relationships, inside and outside of teams, interacting in a friendly, open, honest, and accepting manner.
Mentors junior systems administrators.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
5 yrs system administration; Linux Red Hat and SUSE
5 yrs automation scripting with Python, Bash and / or Ansible
Experience with HPE server hardware
Project management skills - Agile / Kanban
Experience working in a VMWare environment
Familiarity with OS patching and vulnerability remediation
Experience working in Cloud platforms - Primarily AWS
Proven previous job stability, including maintaining long-term work relationships with former employers
Must be able to clear the company's pre-employment screening
