Consumer ( C2C ) sellers are the foundation on which eBay was built they enrich our marketplace with their unique inventory, represent the bulk of our bustling seller community and further our ecosystem through the buy-sell flywheel.
Defending the core experience for these sellers is a top focus at eBay. As the C2C Selling team, we are committed to creating an exceptional, frictionless end-to-end experience for our sellers.
As the Product and Business Strategy Manager in C2C Selling, you will provide critical insights to shape the customer value proposition, product vision and ensure execution on solutions that improve the experiences for our North American consumer sellers.
These experiences include (but are not limited to) product listing, listing and sale management, shipping, payment and communication.
You will use analytics and research to build a deep understanding of C2C seller needs and turn these insights into roadmaps and actions.
You will work across multiple product areas including listing, post-listing, payments, communications, risk and trust, as well as with our category business units, monetization, customer support and operations teams to bring the right experiences to life.
You will own the creation and execution of the go-to-market strategy to ensure adoption and measure success.
What You’ll Do
Strategy Definition and Prioritization : Identify and address seller improvement opportunities; develop business cases, drive continuous improvement, and set product and business objectives for the C2C Seller experience
Benefit Quantification : Build the case for change using seller data, analysis of financial and operational metrics, and competitive benchmarking
Roadmap Ownership : Develop and drive roadmaps across product, marketing and operations to deliver the capabilities our C2C Sellers need most.
Go to Market Strategy : Build and drive a go to market strategy in conjunction with Marketing, PR, Ops and Legal teams.
Cross-functional Teamwork : Collaborate with partners, aligning to shared strategies and goals, championing seller experiences, and innovating across teams
Results and Accountability : Define key performance indicators, design experimentation structure and measure results. Own reporting of initiatives to leadership.
Who You Are
Proven detail-oriented executor that can inspire cross-functional teams, delivering experiences at eBay’s scale
High level of comfort with analytical approaches and quantitative methods
Committed, independent, self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Proven track record leading multiple priorities simultaneously with minimum guidance
Excellent organizational and written / verbal communication skills
Ability to think end-to-end across customer and business touchpoints
Structured thinker that can break down ambiguous problems into executable solutions
Well versed in both online and integrated retail environments
Understand the importance of design and research and how both fit into building new processes and deploying new technologies
BA / BS degree, with 5+ years of relevant ecommerce experience, e.g., Seller Experience, Product Management, Product Strategy, Defect Reduction, Management Consulting
Prior experience owning relevant eCommerce / digital experiences, and using measures like NPS, conversion funnels and financial results
Proven experience leading the delivery of strategies from roadmap to delivery in a highly collaborative culture
Experience in Agile Product Management
Solid understanding of technical solutions used in marketplaces and ecommerce platforms and familiarity with system architecture and APIs
Creative problem-solving skills
MBA or advanced degree a plus
