Duties and Responsibilities
Own & actively maintain a process for enterprise automation, scheduling, & administration in Oracle Applications eBusiness Suite, Automic / UC4, and other critical business environments
Ensure all critical enterprise jobs, concurrent requests, & application processes adhere to timelines, schedules, system impact limits, and expectations in an efficient manner
Negotiate and enforce the timely schedule frequency & operation of critical jobs, requests, & processes
Interact with customers & process owners to ensure they receive an exceptional level of service
Consistently monitor operational patterns & make timely adjustments for production demands and performance levels of critical jobs, requests, processes, & activities
Drive discussions with process owners & IT leads to give focus to the short-term scheduling outlook
Lead efforts with and seek continuous improvement on job & process schedules to smooth & / or stabilize system load spikes throughout entire spectrum of time
Automate weekly & monthly reports for past, present, & future jobs & processes
Continually improve on & / or consolidate solutions to view critical jobs, requests, processes, & planned maintenance activities so that others may quickly view and plan their activities accordingly
Perform system administration, enterprise job automation, & enterprise monitoring related activities
Actively participate in & respond to actions resulting from Oracle Operations committee sessions to gather, present, & seek improvement on ideas, live scenarios, & operational procedures
Participate in critical evening, weekend, and holiday activity as required especially period & year end
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of experience in Oracle 11i Applications EBS (technical & functional)
Minimum 1 year of experience with SQL & 6 months with Oracle PL / SQL
Minimum 6 months of experience in process scheduling, system automation, or system administration
Knowledge of Oracle 10g or 11g architecture
Experience in most phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in Oracle technologies
Experience with any enterprise scheduling or automation application (such as Automic / UC4) is a plus
EDUCATION
BS with a technical background (MIS, Computer Science, Engineering)
