It is Day 1 in Tax Technology, and we are at the beginning of building out an entire suite of global tax solutions. The Tax technology team is in the early phases of design and development and this is your chance to shape a brand new product from the start.

We are looking for the unique combination of development skills and passion for testing. However, unlike other SDET jobs we need you to be innovative, have an entrepreneur's approach and use creative solutions with the work you do on a daily basis.

This is job is much more than defining tests for existing functionalities. You will invent and implement architecture for driving the testing of a web application, backend, and REST API.

Additionally, you will be part of a team that is creating tools for optimizing the testing we are currently doing. There is a need for this SDET to be confident in their ability to architect and code solutions that the group can use for years to come.

In this role, you will

  • Design and develop repeatable and automatize QA systems that will be part of a new AWS like technology platform for Tax.
  • Develop, execute and maintain software to test the tax centric product(s).
  • Play a role in the definition, vision, design, roadmap and development of a new platform from beginning to end.
  • Work through all phases of the project lifecycle, including reviewing requirements, designing QA and support services for the new technology platform, building new test tools, developing test code for Tax products.
  • Build dashboard and visualization services.
  • Work with variety of developer tools across the spectrum of software development lifecycle.
  • Build iteratively using agile methodologies.
  • Contribute to a suite of tools that hosted on the AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Work with development teams, PM’s and TPM's to drive testing on tax products at all the levels of code to raise the quality bar for tax products and deliver value to tax customers.
  • You must be responsive, flexible and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

    You should have a combination of solid in-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance, solid understanding of computer science principles, as well as knowledge of how to design software for maximum longevity.

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, with 4+ years’ experience
  • 3+ years of experience building production or test framework & automation and related software
  • 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current test automation framework or product software.
  • 2+ years of experience in at least, one modern programming language such as C#, Java, and / or SQL.
  • Preferred qualifications

  • Previous experience or strong desire to learn AWS technology such as EC2, RDS / DynamoDB / RedShift, SWF, S3 and QuickSight
  • Experienced in using computer science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis
  • Demonstrated expertise in testing methodologies, QA metrics, experience in designing and developing QA and test tools, and the ability to operate within short release cycles.
  • Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohort
