Amazon Advertising is looking for a talented and passionate Sr. Visual Designer to join the creative service team based in San José, Costa Rica.

Your primary focus will be to design complex visually compelling and effective advertising creatives for internal and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will work on different Cross-channel / Cross-site marketing creating digital ADs to be displayed in Amazon platforms and external websites, all aimed at supporting marketing campaigns and offering clients compelling and engaging visual experiences.
The candidate should be a learning expert who is oriented to solve creative problems, analytical and able to coordinate with a team of graphic designers working on the similar projects.
We are looking for problem solvers, who think on their feet and process information rapidly, while focusing on high quality deliverables.
You will know and accept the fact that no solution is perfect, but will strike to achieve the best.
Key job responsibilities
Help design marketing and promotional materials including but not limited to off-site banners, and display Ads maintaining high productivity, quality standards and meeting turnaround time targets;
Ensure design requirements are met in adherence with product / project guidelines.
Optimize digital images for web, mobile, big screen and other devices.
Follow and apply graphic templates and style guides.
Propose user-centered designs by integrating style guides, creativity, customer feedback, site metrics, and usability findings;
Work with a multi-disciplinary team to contribute to evaluate the feasibility of proposed solutions;
Work closely with Creative Leads, Design managers, Senior and Junior graphic designers and quality specialists to help ensure quality control;
Exhibit an ability to follow creative lead as expected, and also contribute to push the creative envelope in a constructive, memorable way with the customer in mind;
Act as a Subject Matter Expert for visual design for one or more design categories, helping resolve customer queries, troubleshooting when needed, as well as training and mentoring new employees.
Be able to incorporate an analytical thinking in a design role.

2+ years’ experience as a designer in a creative agency or similar creative production environment.
Bachelor or higher degree in Graphic Design, Advertising, Marketing or a related field or an equally strong and relevant portfolio of work.
English proficiency, written and spoken (B2 minimum).
Excellent Adobe Creative Suite skills, especially Photoshop.
Experience in Digital Marketing.
Experience working with International / Global Brands
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
Well-versed on Photoshop Art-boards and other Creative Suite tools.
Thorough knowledge of design practices, tools, and standards.
Demonstrates an understanding of visual hierarchy.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
Self-driven and able to closely track and prioritize work efforts.
Motion graphics and / or video editing knowledge is a plus
