Our Business Service Center located across three regions (Americas, Europe, and Asia), are responsible for the timely and efficient delivery of standardized, global financial processes.
The Business Service Center Americas in San Jose, Costa Rica will be responsible for the execution and delivery of a broad range of financial services and processes across our business divisions and markets for the Americas region.
The PMO & Continuous Improvement Sr. Specialist will support the implementation of different projects across the site, most of them related with processes centralization.
The successful candidate will work directly with our internal teams and key stakeholders to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope, timeline and budget.
Shared Services operation knowledge and experience is highly appreciated since this role needs to understand processes and how transitions or other projects could impact them.
Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following :
Collaborate with management to define project scope, goals, deliverables, timeline, staffing, and budget.
Create, maintain, and monitor project schedules, documentation, and logs.
Define the communication plan and guarantee fluent communication with all parties involved during the implementation of the projects (you can effectively communicate & collaborate cross-departmentally with a variety of stakeholders at all levels)
Manage relationship with key stakeholders ensuring all project expectations are met according to the scope defined.
Use best practices to manage and control change.
Implement change management plan, when needed.
Monitor the project to identify risks and proactively find mitigation plans.
Report regularly to stakeholders on project milestones, status, and risks. Accurate and timely reporting on project progress, issues and decisions
Organize and facilitate project status meetings.
Perform project lessons learned evaluation and recommend improvements for future implementations
Provide operational and tactical guidance to engage team in migration and other initiatives
Work with other internal departments as necessary.
Manage third-party resources.
Prepare and manage third-party contracts and invoices.
Assist with budgets and expense projections. In some cases, the PM could support the Business Case definition.
Support other Operational initiatives related to continuous improvement and operational excellent.
Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering.
Certification or master’s degree in project management preferred. PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 required; Smartsheet and Microsoft Teams preferred
Outstanding communication and people soft skills
Excellent organizational and planning capabilities
Extraordinary attention to details
A solid understanding of project management methodologies
Ability to translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations
5+ years of experience leading or managing projects (preferably using agile or scrum methodologies) that support organizational strategies required
3+ year(s) of experience producing, interpreting, and presenting metrics, and making evidence-based recommendations required
2+ year(s) of experience partnering with Continuous Improvement
Previous project management work experience preferred in Shared Services organizations.
