ROLE SUMMARY

The BAI Manager will be part of the Upjohn Spanish LA Commercial Operations team and will partner with business leadership to ensure the delivery of high quality analytics and strategic business decision support.

As a part of the Upjohn organization, he / she will have the unique entrepreneurial opportunity within the larger Pfizer organization.

This position will be responsible for analytics, data management and insight development for the Upjohn Spanish LA organization.

He / She will contribute to the development of the analytics and insights action plan and will partner with the Spanish LA commercial team to ensure flawless execution.

Additionally, he / she will leverage any appropriate adaptation of global strategies and / or tactics for the Spanish LA Cluster.

This work will include performance measurement, forecast and LRF support, customer analytics, customer targeting and segmentation support, and customer data mining to uncover insights.

He / She will seamlessly interface with the Upjohn Global Analytics team members. Upjohn has developed an exciting Helix approach to working cross-

functionally as opposed to a traditional matrix structure. Within the Helix model, the BAI Manager will have the opportunity to be directly part of the commercial team but will also be part of creating the Upjohn BAI community.

He / she will help develop new best practices for the Upjohn team and will benefit from functional skill building and professional development as a member of this community.

This role is dynamic, fast-paced, highly collaborative, and covers a broad range of strategic topics that are critical to our business.

The successful candidate will embody Upjohn cultural principles of being fast, focused and flexible. He / she will join the Upjohn Spanish LA team to support business transformation through their proactive thought leadership, innovative analytical capabilities and their ability to communicate highly complex and dynamic information in new and creative ways.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Role definition and Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to :

Market Analytics

  • Partner with stakeholders in Spanish LA cluster to provide data driven strategic guidance.
  • In partnership with team members, define, recommend and implement business analytics strategic plans that leverage market / customer insights to influence business priorities and objectives.
  • Lead complex and high impact customer engagement analysis and consultation to proactively provide deep insights and recommendations that drive performance and maximize business opportunities, including advanced analytics segmentation, data mining, and turning insights into strategic action plans.
  • Partner closely with local market teams.

    Forecasting / Operating Plan Support

  • Help track business performance and support development of short-term business forecasts.
  • Support the development of Long Range Forecasts (LRFs), Operating Plans and Latest Estimate (LE) reviews as needed. Regularly review and enhance plans.
  • Lead effective performance measurement and deliver regular assessments of portfolio performance to leadership. Ensure accuracy of the reports and clear articulation of the data and its meaning for the business, including identifying and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a high level of understanding of the market healthcare systems, data sources, and environmental trends and have the ability to synthesize these data sources in a meaningful way with Upjohn / Pfizer and other external data sources.
  • Inform and guide commercial resource allocation
  • Vendor / Offshore Resource Management

  • Manage budgets associated with assigned activities.
  • Direct workload of flexible resources.
  • Be accountable for continuous improvement and identification / utilization of new capabilities to maximize the competitive advantages of the business.
  • Technical Skills

  • Fluent in Spanish and strong English (written and spoken).
  • Strong MS Excel skills.
  • Proven ability to connect, integrate and synthesize analysis and data into a meaningful so what’ to drive concrete strategic recommendations and enable commercial decision making.
  • Capable of describing relevant caveats in data or in a model and how they relate to business questions.

  • Ability to build forecast models
  • Previous demonstrated experience in monitoring, simulating and analyzing complex data sets.
  • Ability to be flexible, prioritize multiple demands and deal with ambiguity.
  • Strong team player, experienced with leading without authority in complex matrix environments.
  • Proven ability to act as a strategic consultant partnering with commercial / marketing clients. Excellent communication skills with ability to clearly and effectively communicate the business relevance of technical subject matter.
  • Previous demonstrated Business / Financial acumen.
  • Experience

  • 3+ years of commercial, strategy and / or analytics experience.
  • Proven experience with budget and resource allocation management.
  • Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required. Masters (or equivalent) is a plus.
  • NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS

    Limited business travel required
