This position is for a Service Center Engineer in Micro Focus. In this position, engineers perform first-level triage for our systems and our networks, where it requires excellent communication skills, broad technical literacy, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
The team works collaboratively with the entire Micro Focus delivery organization, it is a 24X7X365 operation and requires engineers to work different shifts.
Evaluate systems components, systems software, networking infrastructure and hardware peripherals for availability, reliability, and performance.
Triage and resolve systems and network issues reported by both internal and external proactive monitoring systems.
Analyze systems for performance, throughput, and high availability.
Work with MF applications
Notify internal and external customers for planned and unplanned interruptions to the system’s operation.
Contribute to the knowledge base through process development and improvement.
Participate in departmental and cross-team projects and initiatives
Contribute to the continual improvement efforts
Represent the company with excellence
NOC engineer experience (Desirable)
Technical support experience.
An active student in MS program and / or minimum of BS or BA degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or the equivalent
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience troubleshooting a technical environment
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Project and program management abilities
