This role will be accountable for the entire Human Resources function for the Emerson Solutions Center in Costa Rica. The incumbent will be responsible for working closely with each Business Leader, providing oversight for all areas to include organization planning, workforce planning, talent management, performance management, employee relations and communications, labor relations, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, compensation and benefits, policies, employment practices, immigration and regulatory compliance.
This role will also partner with the all the Human Resources regional organizations in Latin America to leverage best practices in the site across the entire World Area.
As a whole, it will include critical focus on building organizational capability, driving cultural change and supporting the Company’s growth plans.
Duties and Responsibilities
Part of the Board of the organization and right hand of the General Manager
Define Human Resources strategy for Costa Rica aligned with the business needs
Collaborate with Business Leaders to understand the organizations goals and strategy related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
Effectively partner with the Latin America region to leverage Costa Rica capabilities on a variety of HR topics and projects.
Ensure HR metrics and key performance indicator systems are consistently tracking the appropriate measures and provoking appropriate responsive behavior
Support creation of development plans and identification of training opportunities
Effectively handle sensitive investigations and required actions, aiming to contribute to minimizing legal labor litigation.
Champion Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts
Effectively drive key HR processes including annual wage & salary review, employee survey processes, performance management annual cycle, record retention, organizational planning review and restructuring efforts when required.
Lead all aspects of new orientation, onboarding processes, and
Drive data integrity and accurate processing of all employee data changes
Own all HR systems for Costa Rica including payroll and timekeeping
Partner with EHS team and leadership team to ensure a safety-culture
Degree in business, Human Resources, or related field required
Minimum 7 years of managerial experience in Human Resourcesfunction in Shared Services organization, preferably in Multinational companies with strong and proven Leadership capabilities.
Ability to work with multiple Groups, in multidimensional organizational matrix structures.
Knowledge and understanding of the key metrics related to HR and how to drive improvement in those key metrics
Excellent verbal, listening, presentation and writing communication skills in Spanish & English.
Experience in Coaching Key Talent and Leaders and ability to design detailed development and retention plans to improve performance and potential.
