Position : Senior Software Engineer
Job Location : 1730 N 1st Street, San Jose CA 95112
Duties : Develop software and embedded firmware for the control of Sony’s new image sensors that are currently under conceptualization and development.
Analyze corporate customers’ business needs with our products as well as Sony’s established product strategies, key deliverables and image sensor specifications in order to identify software requirements such as those involving reference design (technical blueprint of a system software that is intended for others to follow).
Utilize various computer languages such as C and C++ as well as Java proficiently, understands Raspbian, Android, and Linux operating systems to program codes, and develop and implement user software and the detailed control firmware.
Develop each piece of software modules, including prototype, and plan how the pieces will work together seamlessly. Experience designing and developing for multiprocessor SOCs.
Analyze software architecture and the interoperability between various functional modules, reference platforms and other related systems, and create the most suitable reference design.
Interface with other engineers, including those engaged in image sensor development as well as system development in order to conduct software testing and evaluation, and investigate root-cause analyses of software failures.
Review the accuracy of source codes, identify causes of technical issues, and enhance program codes by debugging Make fine adjustments, and manipulate software parameters to the optimum level.
Minimum education required : Bachelor's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or computer science or related field.
Minimum experience required : 7 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
we will accept a master's degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or computer science or related field and 1 year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Skills required : Demonstrated knowledge of software design and implementation experience with C / C++. Demonstrated ability to work with Linux-based development tools.
Demonstrated ability to work within real time operating systems. Demonstrated knowledge of SoC programming. Demonstrated knowledge of FPGA programming.
Demonstrated knowledge of embedded programming. Employer will accept any amount of professional experience with the required skills.
