About the role :
BSI looking for individuals to join a team of high performing Construction EHS Professionals that enjoy figuring things out and solving problems while providing EHS support in construction environments in and around the Northern California Bay Area.
Consultant Responsibilities :
Ability to represent the clients needs as a Construction EHS Owners Representative
Review and analyze data collected through observations, incident history and other sources to help define project progress, allocate resources and determine course correction where needed
Analyze worker health and safety data for negative and positive trends and provide the client with detailed information to determine program direction and course corrections
Ability to coach craft worker personnel on OSHA / Client requirements and expectations
May deliver technical training and lead high level EHS meetings with client and trade partner EHS professionals
Ability to develop training programs and slide decks for construction EHS topics
Ability to lead accident and incident investigations utilizing known models. Examples include Root Cause Analysis, 5 Why Analysis, After Action Reviews, etc.
Willingness to learn high tech process equipment, facility systems and building design / commissioning processes to support a successful startup or renovation of existing facilities
Understanding of Design for EHS principles and concepts. Client specific training is provided but a general understanding of building operations, semiconductor equipment and facility system operation is an advantage
Education / Qualifications :
Minimum educational requirements : Bachelor's Degree
Degree in Environmental, Health, Safety, Biology, Chemistry or Engineering is appreciated
Willingness to pursue and ability to obtain an advanced certification such as a CSP, CHST
Previous experience as a Construction EHS Owners Representative is desired
Well versed with Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint (knowledge of Excel Pivot Tables or ability to learn them is a must)
Individuals with mechanical aptitude are strongly encouraged to apply
