Associate / Consultant, Ergonomics

This could be your ideal job if you have 5-10 years of experience in general EH&S, are interested in the dynamic world of consulting and you have a degree (MS preferred) in Ergonomics (Human Factors / Ergonomics, Biomedical Engineering, Kinesiology, or related field).
In this position, you will work with existing clients on their health, safety and ergonomics programs and you will also develop business with new and existing clients, so position responsibilities will be split between technical consulting, business development, project management, and client management.
You will provide technical leadership, mentor others and may manage 3 5 staff over time. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate strengths in the following areas : Lead business expansion efforts for ergonomic services and help develop sales plans to encourage growth of practice area.
Lead selection and improvement of ergonomic evaluation tool developmentManage client relationships and identify opportunities for business expansion.
Work independently to schedule and conduct ergonomic evaluations in office, lab, industrial, health care environments.Consult on ergonomic program developmentDevelop marketing materials and webinars to promote ergonomic services.
Supervise and mentor junior staff.Present and submit articles for publication locally and nationally.Support other EHS&S projects as needed.
Be a strong public speaker, trainer and published writer in the field of ergonomicsSupport other EHS&S projects as needed.
Ideally you will have 5-10 years of EHS experience including : Developing client relationships and selling ergonomics services to business clientsConducting ergonomic evaluations in multiple industries and disciplines.
Previous consulting experienceHealthcare experienceWorking knowledge of global ergonomic regulations and standardsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingAbility to gather and organize data from multiple sourcesAbility to plan and implement projectsMay be required to work with or in an environment that contains chemicals or hazardous materialsBasic computer skills, with experience in Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Experience with 3DSSPP, Snook Tables, NIOSH Lifting Equation, HumanCADCertified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) or AEP / CPE Eligible Preferred.
CIE or other ergonomic certifications will be considered In addition, the following skills are important to be a successful consultant at BSI.
