Key responsibilities in this position are to :
Establish technical credibility and rapport with the customer and become the go-to expert for all of their technical inquiries and support
Provide in-depth technical assistance in collaboration with R&D to help support advanced design flows to secure design wins
Articulate design methodologies involving Cadence tools and be proficient in the full Cadence tool portfolio
Perform methodology assessments, improve existing design methodologies, and develop new ones that leverage Cadence technology and services.
Champion the customer needs and work with R&D and Marketing to develop competitive and creative technical solutions.
Understand the competitive landscape and continuously work on differentiating Cadence’s solutions.
Manage strategic customer evaluations / benchmarks on Cadence's solutions to establish technology differentiation and assert Cadence competitive advantages.
Multiplex several issues and set priorities and explore new technologies
Drive best practices from evaluations / benchmarks and customer interactions back into product development and Cadence field engineers.
Develop an understanding of the customer's needs and also of the competition's technology and sales strategies
Write technical product literature such as application notes and technical articles.
Review new product proposals and device specifications
Leverage and build your technical expertise in one or more of the following areas :
Design fundamentals such as architecture, micro-architecture, HDLs, Synthesis and timing
Verification skills such as UVM testbench architecture, development, and debug
Embedded software development and HW / SW codesign and co-verification
Knowledge of UNIX , C / C++, and scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, Python
Physical design experiences in the digital implementation domain including Floorplan, P&R, STA, Physical verification, DFM
Experience in sign-off tools for STA, IR drop, power analysis, SI analysis
Package design, Layout Editor
Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in EE or related field
Lab or internship experience leveraging position specific relevant EDA tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Knowledge of UNIX , C / C++, and scripting languages such as Perl, TCL, Python is a plus
