The HR Specialist will be responsible for owning, improving and supporting the onboarding and payroll processes that are completed in UKG / UltiPro, our HRIS, for the approximately 200 associates we have in the Americas.
Responsibilities : Payroll (25%)
Be the owner of the US payroll for approximately 130 associates, both for hourly and salaried associates.
Be the owner of the CR payroll for approximately 50 associates.
Make sure benefits are being deducted from new hires and stopped for terminated associates.
Double check that salary increases, 401K and OT hours are apprpiately reflected.
Resolve any payroll questions from associates.
Maintain relations with accounting in the US and CR.
Deliver payroll reports to accounting.
Onboarding and termination (25%)
Complete the onboarding process in the system for new hires in the Americas.
Complete the termination process in the system for terminates associates in the Americas.
Update Trello cards.
Become the SME in UKG / Ultipro for EMEA, Americas and APAC.
Have recurrent meetings with them to absorb more knowledge on the system.
Resolve technical issues.
Resolve questions from associates.
Documentation and improvements (25%)
Update current SOPs.
Design new SOPs.
Evaluate technology improvements to increase efficiency.
Evaluate cost and time improvements across all the processes that are assigned.
2-3 years of experience in an HR Service Center, preferiably through payroll, and working with a global HRIS system like Workday, Oracle or UKG.
Fluent English both in writing and through speech.
Studies in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Business or HR.
UKG experience preferred.
Lean, Continuous Improvement or Six Sigma courses are highly preferred.
Skills in :
oDetail Orientation (high).
oComputer skills, intermediate Excel is a must (high).
oDocumentation of processes, flow chart design (low).
oCustomer Service (medium).
