The Opportunity

Adobe generated $13B revenue in FY 2020 and has completed $10B in strategic acquisitions since 2018. Our Corporate Development team drives Adobe’s inorganic growth roadmap in conjunction with our CEO, top team, and senior leaders.

We strive to increase shareholder value through exceptional, inorganic opportunities.

Our most recent acquisitions have been in the digital marketing workflow space with Workfront (closed December 2020; $1.5B Transaction Price) and the video collaboration space with Frame.

io (announced August 2021; $1.275B Transaction Price). Our most recent investments have been in around the corner’ opportunities with Vidmob, Lucidlink, Skillshare, Truepic, and Tiled.

We are looking for an exceptional teammate who is comfortable thinking at a 100,000 ft strategic altitude as well diving into the operational nuts & bolts.

Ideally, this teammate will develop unique strategic acquisition and investment themes, proactively source & engage with targets, and work seamlessly across internal product, go-to-market and functional partners.

You will excel at the table stakes’ deal execution, including internal / external process management & financial insights and valuation analysis.

You will also care about post-acquisition and investment success

What you’ll do

  • Partner with key internal and external partners to develop strategic investment themes, assess potential acquisition and investment opportunities.
  • Identify product gaps, evaluate build / partner / buy, and collaborate on target selection.
  • Navigate and influence decision-making by conducting holistic, meticulous analyses, driving the right conversations’ and getting to the heart of the issues.
  • Support & coordinate all aspects of the M&A process (e.g., execution, negotiation, and due diligence, including financial modeling and valuation).
  • Lead & drive select opportunities.

  • Proven track record of delivering shareholder value through successful, diverse M&A.
  • Strategic thinker that connects the dots’. High EQ, executive influencing and business intuition.
  • Maniacal attention to detail. Ability to adapt to ambiguous, evolving environments. High learning agility. Consummate team player.
  • Extensive, deep analytic skills.

  • Excellent written communication skills, including presentation and memo formats. Strong spoken communication skills.
  • 5-8 years of cumulative experience in corporate development, investment banking, and private equity. General management, product, operations experience, SaaS, consumer tech, enterprise software are preferred.
  • MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated network of relevant high-growth tech founders and industry contacts.
  • Deep interest and experience in Adobe’s key business lines (Document Cloud, Creative Cloud, Experience Cloud).
