Reporting to the SVP, Global Operations Strategy & Transformation, the Senior Director, Global Manufacturing Program Management for Sports Medicine (SPM) is responsible for the strategy and portfolio management across the S+N Global Operations SPM Franchise .

This role is an integral member of the Global Operations SPM Leadership Team and, in partnership with that team and other key stakeholders, this position creates transformational programs and execution plans aligned to S+N's Strategic Imperatives.

As part of overall Program Management, this position ensures a comprehensive People Plan and Change Management approach, Fit for Purpose Strategy, and Delivery Excellence with Operational and Financial Control throughout the program life cycle.

This position leads and motivates cross-functional and cross-cultural teams, possesses high level of stakeholder management skills with ability to think strategically, while managing the tactical details.

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and presentation skills as well as demonstrated ability to interface effectively with employees, leaders and consultants of all levels throughout the organization.

Direct reports will be based on the particular program scope and size. This position requires strong Manufacturing functional and process knowledge as well as demonstrated ability to effectively influence without authority.

Travel requirement is dependent upon assigned programs to include location and complexity and could be up 25%- 50% travel at times.

Responsibilities : Program Design (20%)

Program Design (20%)

Develop the overall program to include budget, timeline, people plan and execution plan which delivers the Global Operations SPM Franchise strategy

Ensures the necessary forums to confirm strategic alignment with commercial and other functions acting as the conduit for Global Operations SPM Franchise in broader Global Operations strategic discussions

Support development of financial & business modeling of assigned programs

Ensure the physical warehousing network is scalable and flexible to handle business growth, new product introduction, acquisition and other commercial activities

Planning / Delivery (40%)

Refine & improve processes by executing strategic projects

Develops compelling value proposition and assists with development of cost models

Ensures each program has clear and attainable objectives with detailed project plans with well-defined tasks

Has knowledge of active program ensuring each is tracking to plan and where required implementing remediation steps

Ensures quality work within large projects / programs in agreed timescale and budget. Consistently and effectively manages stakeholder expectations ensuring alignment across the organization

Develops and implements consistent methodologies

Recognized as a subject matter expert both internally and externally for deep strategic understanding of business processes and relevant technology solutions.

Applies rigorous logic and conceptual skills to effectively solve highly complex problems

Thinks quickly and adeptly about how to address problems as they come up, learning from the issues so that the same problems do not arise again.

Financial Management (10%)

Assumes overall responsibility for functional budget and impact on corporate profitability and overall financial results contributing to the company's overall success.

Forecast annual spend requirements creating an annual budget scheduling expenditures and savings

Prepare an overall budget and the individual capital expenditure requests required to support approval of program(s)

Analyze variances against budget initiating corrective actions as required

Work with the finance business partner to communicate variances and associated impact to the organizational financial performance

People Management (5%)

Attracts, retains, develops and motivates project teams.

Drives a result-oriented and positive teamwork culture within the team.

Helps others succeed and accepts responsibility for success or failure

Actively coaches assigned resources and manages deployment in wider team. Supports and champion’s project resource performance and career development.

Change Management (20%)

Delivers road shows, workshops and other forums ensuring alignment on purpose and scope of program and that roles and objectives are well understood.

Creates regular forum(s) for internal and external people to communicate and document integration touch points, issues of scope overlap and work efforts towards resolution.

Active in stakeholder management activities across program and projects ensuring communication of the program is happening at all levels of the organization

Respects and successfully handles diverse cultures and views.

Ensures communication of progress, issues and risks across the organization.

Stands for credibility and trust and is perceived as a trusted advisor for long term benefits of the business.

Acts as a role model and encourages others to demonstrate integrity and transparency

Quality Management (5%)

Manages overall risks and mitigations of program

Manages adherence to all relevant compliance regulations impacted by subject area including but not limited to quality, regulatory, legal and financial (eg. QMS, FDA, SOX)

Manages overall project governance to ensure key stakeholders understand the implications of any given project including change impact, risks, cost, resource requirements, technical needs, tax implications, etc.

Location : US - Remote / Costa Rica / Europe

Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Engineering, IT, Manufacturing or a Finance-related curriculum; MBA preferred.

Experience :

10 or more years work experience with project / program management within a mid-large size corporate environment.

Experience in Medical Device Industry required

International or cross-cultural work experience preferred

Preferred areas of expertise : Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, PMP, Lean

Competences :

Ability to effectively interface and influence stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.

Adept learner with strong analytic skills

Demonstrated success in working with cross-functional, cross-cultural teams. Strong process orientation, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

High degree of self-motivation and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience in performing under tight timelines.

Strong project management skills, particularly with respect to the organization, prioritization, and time management.

Travel Requirements : 50%
