Job Description

The burn-in engineer will be a member of the Costa Rica MegaLab team in the Corporate Quality Network's qualification execution services (QES) horizontal team.

Job responsibilities include enabling the burn-in stress test program for client, server, and other product segments to support product qualification.

Collaboration with ATM factories to ensure Product Health Indicators are met (including burn-in continuous improvements to reduce failures) will be required up to 2 quarters after product qualification.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following :

  • Ensuring optimal stress application for products to meet their reliability goals, debug and remove product and tester interactions to enable data collection.
  • Develop a robust process for transfer of test programs and validation to ensure readiness for samples and qualifications activities
  • Evaluation, development, validation and debug of new hardware and performance.
  • Analyze and evaluate component specification versus stress needs and ensure optimal match of component requirements with stress equipment capability
  • Drive continual improvement in coverage, or content enhancement through the lifecycle of development
  • Drive validation on stress platform of choice to ensure seamless product qualification execution and / or High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM) deployment of burn-in content
  • Model based structured problem solving to resolve issues that arise either during stress implementation, or during validation / deployment to high volume manufacturing
  • Independently collaborating and communicating with manufacturing validation engineering, product Quality & Reliability, Technology Development and Assembly and Test Manufacturing teams to accomplish project goals.
  • Must have :

    Bachelor Degree in Electrical engineering, Computer engineering, or other related fields of study.

    Intermediate English proficiency.

    Preferred :

    Understanding of semiconductor device physics, logic design, design for test, computer architecture, digital / analog circuits is strongly desired

    Implementing test programs or using tester platforms to perform content debug and validation

    Programming experience in one / more language : C / C++, Perl, Python, Java, VB, etc.

    Strong debug and data analysis skills using tools like JMP

    Understanding of high volume manufacturing flows and automation
