  • This position supports the payroll process and ensure it is completed timely and accurately. This person is responsible to develop best practices to improve efficiency of payroll processes;
  • according to Global HRIS strategy.

    This position is also responsible to ensure Emerson is achieving the desired levels of service and to implement quality control measures to meet business expectations.

    Also, this position is expected to follow and enforce federal, state, and local regulations to be in full compliance.

    This position supports and assists the implementation of HCM (Human Capital Management) and Payroll System for Emerson Business Units in Latin America, multi-Business Group environment.

    Principal Functional Responsibilities

  • Support payroll process and calendar
  • Assist in payroll results reviews and facilitate issue resolution for Payroll Process and System
  • Maintain payroll operations records up-to-date and accurate
  • Conduct Service Reviews with business stakeholders
  • Identify and analyze root causes of issues and provide appropriate resolutions
  • Provide input to the implementation team with an operational perspective that could help reduce errors, decrease system changes in production and review and recommend improvements to existing payroll procedures.
  • Escalate potential service issues to Payroll Manager and Payroll Partner
  • Create required operational process and practices
  • Identifies and maintains lessons learned process and ensures implementation of appropriate action items to drive continual improvement.
  • Education

    Completion of a bachelor’s degree in a Business, Human Resources, Financial or a related field, or equivalent experience

    Experience / Skills

  • 2+ years hands on experience with SAP
  • A minimum of 3 years of strong experience in Mexico payroll, regulations and procedures
  • Advanced knowledge of key HR functions : Employment, Benefits, Compensation and Payroll
  • Knowledge of applicable local, state and federal payroll and related tax laws, regulations and statutes
  • Experience with ADP Global View system is desired
  • Skill in both written and verbal communication
  • Service and Milestone oriented with a sense of urgency in meeting goals
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize team tasks appropriately
  • Ability to effectively and proactively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Interacts with other team members to request or provide information and creates a positive and productive team dynamic
  • Intermediate level of English
