About the Job

BeenVerified is looking for a Human Resources Specialist in our Costa Rica office that is hungry to learn new skills and to grow as an HR Professional.

In this role, you will work with closely with the General Manager in order to assist team members with all things related to Human Resources.

This role exposes you to almost every facet of our business and you should be comfortable communicating up and down the management chain to mitigate risks and find solutions.

What You'll Get to Do

  • Process, verify, and maintain personnel related documentation, including staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, paid time off and employee leaves of absence.
  • Point of contact for company policies and procedures, benefits and employment law for all employees and / or job applicants.
  • Own the onboarding process for all new employees.
  • Assist General Manager with recruiting efforts, including maintaining job descriptions, sourcing, interview scheduling, updating the applicant tracking system, and preparing offers and contracts.
  • Provide assistance in administering employee benefit programs and worker's compensation plans.
  • Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
  • What You Bring to the Table

  • At least 2 years of HR experience.
  • Advanced level English required (both verbal and written)
  • BS in Human Resources or related field
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Previous experience pre-screening candidates and scheduling interviews is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Quick learner and self-starter capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills required.
  • A positive attitude and high level of commitment to job duties.
  • Polished and professional presentation.
