Role Description :
Neustar is looking for a Senior ServiceNow developer to join our team. Candidates will demonstrate skills in areas for the administration, development, documentation, and technical support of the ServiceNow platform.
This position will vary in the scope of project responsibilities, however generally this position will focus mainly on administering the system and will include, deployment, contributing to designing, and delivering technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
In this role you will be the main technical contact for product owners to facilitate project intake and coordination. You ensure that all solution designs adhere to ServiceNow and ITIL best practices and take on our more complicate project.
This role also requires good working knowledge of ServiceNow Automate Discovery deployment and going support.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Lead the review, design, and improvement of ITSM processes and procedures for the effective management and adherence of ITSM process areas.
Current ITSM areas supported include : Access ManagementIncident ManagementChange ManagementProblem ManagementRequest FulfillmentKnowledge ManagementAsset, Software Asset, and Configuration ManagementService Catalog ManagementTransition PlanningLegal Service Module
Provide software configuration and customization including, but not limited to : workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, custom scripting and third party software integrations
Technical leader for analyze business requirements and designing the best technical solutions
Develop, design, and rollout new application modules
Research new functionality and recommend solutions that deliver value to the business
Build and edit service catalog items from customer requirements including request, requested items, task using workflows to manage data flows from a customer to the support teams providing fulfilment.
Uses scripting tools and ServiceNow functionality automate routine
Develop and manage integrations with other systems
Load, manipulate, and maintain data between ServiceNow and other systems
Expert understanding of ITIL / ITSM processesEnsuring our deployment and fellow team members adheres to ServiceNow and ITIL best practices
Hands-on design development, and deployment experience with ServiceNow
Advanced experienced in and be the technical lead for our System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes including customer requirement, analysis, and system design
Help the Sr Manager run our Agile processLead standup meetings when requiredAttend and contribute in ITSM product owners meetings
Technical lead for all large scale project and integration efforts
Mentor junior team members and play a role in their technical development
Technical lead and stewardship ServiceNow Automated Discovery
Work with the Sr Manager to design and deliver regular trainings for internal users
Required Experience and Skills :
Advanced Experience in CMDB, Discovery, and integrations with other external tools is a must
Advanced knowledge two or more of the following scripting languages : HTML / CSS, AJAX, AngularJS
Advanced knowledge of Web Services Integration (SOAP, REST, and JSON)
Snow Mirror data replication experience is a plus
4 years of administration and development within ServiceNow
Deep knowledge with relational databases
Advanced understanding of ITIL / ITSM processes
ITIL v3 Foundations certification is a plus
ServiceNow Administration cert required
ServiceNow Developer cert preferred
Previous experience being a technical lead for an Agile Development
Experience with Service Portal is a plus
Been a part of 2 or more major version upgrades to the system
