Financial Junior Accountant (Free Trade Zone Regime)

Key duties and responsibilities :

  • Performs a variety of professional duties in the maintenance, analysis and reporting of financial information.
  • Provide support with month-end close activities, cost allocations, re-classes and accruals.
  • Support activities related to budget preparation, and forecasts.
  • Assists Senior staff to monitor budget performance and tracks budget variances in monthly reviews.
  • Monitors accounting activity to make sure all accounts payable invoices, month end accrual of expenses, payroll processing, headcount and payroll journal entries are all submitted by the monthly deadlines.
  • Prepares monthly financial reports, ad hoc requests, and analysis for Senior staff.
  • Responsible for Fixed asset controls, local compliance and reporting.
  • Ensures that assets and procedures are in compliance with company policies, acceptable accounting practices and applicable local regulations such as Free Trade Zone requirements.
  • Examines monthly / annual local declarations, support documentation and financial statements to be conformance with local obligations and requirements.
  • Follow up with Facilities and IT group, to make sure all Fixed assets are properly tagged. Keep location tracking, and update data accordingly.
  • May provide direction and training for users relating to fixed asset controls, purchasing and corporate credit card, and expense report guidelines.
  • Document processes for Senior staff reference, when needed.
  • Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications - External

  • 4 years’ experience in Accounting and Finance : month-end close activities, cost allocations, accruals; budget preparation
  • 2 years’ experience in Local Compliance (Procomer regulations), Free Trade Zone Regime, fixed assets and tax processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related
  • Good level of English, both written and verbal (B2+)
  • Good knowledge of finance and accounting principles and concepts.
  • Good knowledge of PC desktop applications, including MS Excel .
  • Good knowledge of finance and accounting automated systems.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven previous job stability, including maintaining long-term work relationships with former employers
