We are currently seeking a system administration specialist in automation to join our team in Heredia, Heredia, Costa Rica.
Position's General Duties and Tasks :
Provide solutions to automate tasks from teams around the world.
Provide support and be point of contact for any automation questions.
Implement new automation tools.
Must have Skills :
1-3 years’ experience in System Administration of Linux / UNIX and Windows systems in a large environment
Strong understanding of OS concepts, Network, Filesystems, Devices, Memory, Commands, etc. for both Linux / Unix and Windows systems.
Basic understanding of how applications (any) work in large environments.
A need to automate everything.
Ability to automate solutions to repetitive problems / tasks
Nice to have, but not required :
Experience using automation tools (Chef, Puppet, Ansible) to deploy and configure environments.
Knowledge of one or more scripting languages (Ruby, Python)
Detail oriented, self-motivated, proactive, and accustomed to searching out best practices and solutions while adding to the team's knowledge
Demonstrative written and verbal communication skills to audiences with a wide variety of technical knowledge
Very strong troubleshooting skills towards root cause analysis and practical issue resolution.
Experience working with agile development teams and DevOps.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
