The QA Lead is one of most junior position in our capability from the management perspective. As such, a QAL Lead is responsible for providing support to a team of QAL resources in terms of task assignment, LOE estimations, escalations and mentoring of team members.
The individual in this position must be comfortable with all technology involved in the types of work performed by the team.
This individual must also have strong soft skills and excellent English communication skills.
Handle work traffic, assigning tasks to team members based on allocation and skill set required
Perform complex creative, functional and mobile testing to help team during workload peaks
Create Test Plans and Test Cases to support testing execution
Assist Project Managers with LOE estimations & risk assessments
Attend status calls / meetings for team projects
Arrange the device / hardware / software requirements for test setup
Check that all work items are entered into the tracking tool to ensure metrics data is accurate
Follow up for prompt delivery of different milestones
Escalate Analyst’s performance issues
Mentor QA Analysts
Ensure content and structure of all testing artifacts is documented and maintained
Participate in the recruiting process and make hiring recommendations
Qualifications
Software Engineering / Web Development degree or equivalent experience
5+ years’ QA related experience
Experience in software development and / or web development methodologies
Proficiency in functional testing
Experience in non-functional testing
Proficiency in creating Test Plans, test cases, Status Reports
English level B2+ or higher
ISTQB (Foundation) certified is desired
Experience in test automation is desired
