IT PROJECT COORDINATOR
The Infrastructure Project Coordinator is an essential member of the project team responsible for delivering building development projects of varying size and complexity.
The Infrastructure Project Coordinator is responsible for understanding project priorities, timelines and dependencies, under the direction of Project Manager (PM) and / or Management.
Participates in I&O Services project management using Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Project Management Institute (PMI) based framework and standards.
Collaborates with stakeholders and project teams in the definition of project scope, deliverables, budget, and timelines.
Maintains and updates project plans and schedules; serves as a liaison between the I&O management team, vendor, and customer concerning requests, deliverables, expectations and status of the project.
Works alongside the I&O management team interfacing with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors in the completion of the program and / or project related tasks.
Manages tasks in the execution and control phases including :
oMonitoring and tracks project timeline, milestones, budget, and deliverables
oOrganizing problem solving, status and information meetings
oManaging project communication with internal and external stakeholders (status, risk, etc)
oMaintaining project issue / risk logs and contingency plan development; escalates to Sr management per process
oManaging the project change control process
Assists in development and documentation of I&O Services project management standards, policies, and processes.
Works with I&O Services management team on monitoring and assessment of service Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and business commitments.
Assists in budget creation, management, and tracking :
oProject budget development, submission, tracking, managing modifications and reporting
Works with the I&O management team to produce project timelines, cost estimates, benefits, feasibility, and present / participates in project request review, approval, and prioritization.
Utilizes PMI and ITIL practices as defined by I&O Project Management processes and policies.
Maintains an active role in the I&O project management team, contributing to the creation, further development, and adherence to a project methodology.
Participates in the review of vendor contracts associated with assigned projects.
Performs other duties as assigned
Bachelor degree in computer science, information technology, IT project management, or related field of study and three (3) years of experience in information technology with at least one (1) year of IT project management.
Associates Degree in computer science, information technology, IT project management, business administration with technology concentration, or a related field and (5) years of experience in IT project management.
Any combination of related education, experience, certifications and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job
Basic knowledge of IT project management principles, concepts, and practices.
Working knowledge with Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
Familiarity with Project Management Institute (PMI) based framework and standards.
Project budgeting (forecasting, managing, tracking, reporting)
Ability to gather and analyze facts, identify problems / risks, and develop solutions.
Facilitation of meetings / working sessions with diverse participants for consensus building and solution negotiation.
Ability to coordinate and lead deployment execution.
Strong organizational skills; ability to track tasks and deadlines across multiple projects and teams.
Ability to identify and address cross organizational dependencies.
Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
Confident and effective at working with cross-functional teams and delivering presentations to all levels of management and staff.
Ability to form and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Competency in Microsoft applications including SharePoint, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote and Outlook.
Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
Ability to work under tight deadlines.
