Amazon seeks a Jr. Payroll Analyst to apply great customer service skills in a fast paced environment to insure accurate timely results for over 2000 employees.
Payroll is processed on a monthly basis in multiple states and will perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility;
compile data and conduct research, and provide support to the rest of the team as appropriate. Emphasis will be on detail, problem solving, and auditing.

Gathering and validating data from HR, HR Services, Compensation & Benefits, Stock and Global Mobility teams for the payroll calculations
Performing series of payroll controls and analyses including comparison of input data with output data from the payroll vendor
Cooperating with the payroll vendor on employee payslip queries, legislative updates and country-specific queries
Executing post-payroll activities by reporting to local authorities and finance teams
Review Payroll tax withholding provided by the Payroll outsource
Review the Caja de Compensacion Reports on a monthly basis
Review the AFP and AFC Reports and contributions on a monthly basis
Review Social Security reports on a monthly basis
Review severance / liquidation pay calculations

Accounting / Finance or related field student, or 2 years of experience within HR, finance, tax, accounting or payroll processing for any LATAM country
Strong written English and Spanish skills
Advanced Excel (pivot tables, vlookup and other formulas) Good analytical skills with high level of accuracy and attention to details
Knowledge of personal income tax legislation and labor law
Experience calculating Social Security contributions and Income Tax
Experience preparing Colombia Payroll Reports based on rules and regulations required by law
Familiar with payroll software (SAP, Peoplesoft, Sharepoint, Workday, ADP software and T&A systems)
Experience with process transitions
Sense of innovation
