The Commercial Scaled Analytics team is an organization that serves as a center of expertise within Pfizer Digital - utilizing advanced analytic techniques to develop self-service capabilities, address key business questions, provide valuable insights on performance and customer understanding and enable major decision-making on promotional investments.
The team provides global support, is the custodian of mature advanced analytics methodologies, and is responsible for framing long term analytic strategies that grow analytics impact.
The team specializes in the areas of Brand Performance Analytics, Promotional Resource Allocation, Field Force Design and Patient Analytics.
Develop and evolve analytic offerings that enhance commercial decision making across key functional areas including segmentation, targeting, marketing mix, promotional optimization, resource optimization, and field force designBuild and operate assets that support analytics democratization and enables other AIBI and Commercial teamsDevelop and implement sound, objective secondary data analysis on marketing and field force promotional effort to enable the execution of key marketing and sales initiativesDetermine key performance metrics and develop tracking assets on which to evaluate commercial initiatives.
Mine large pharmaceutical databases to identify opportunities, trend breaks or emerging issues.Solve unstructured business problems by designing and executing customized, novel and high priority analytical projects utilizing advanced analytical techniquesLead matrixed project teams to execute cross-functional projects leveraging advanced analytics Effectively manage time and resources for self and a small matrixed team of peersResearch, identify, and apply new algorithms and technologies to current business needsExecute statistical and data mining techniques on large datasets to identify trends, facts and insightsUse tools like R, Python, Tableau, Visual Basic and Excel to conduct analysis to inform client needsPartner with other AIBI colleagues in the delivery of standardized and ad-hoc projects
Bachelor's degree required in analytics related area (including management science, business decision analysis, statistics / data science, economics, finance etc)5+ years of strong analytics experience as a sales / marketing quantitative analyst or in marketing / strategy consulting in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience with the application of statistics and data science techniques such as machine learning or similar quantitative approaches to solve real-world analytical problemsFluent in English, both written and verbalAbility to translate and deliver analytical results into meaningful insightsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated proficiency in a programming language or analytic tool such as R, SQL, SAS, Tableau, Data Science Studio, AlteryxStrong team player, ability to collaborate effectively with a cross functional group of colleagues and lead matrixed project teamsStrong conceptual and analytical thinking combined with the ability to effectively understand analytics needs and build effective solutions.
Works effectively with others on matrixed teams; comfortable working in global environment and across time zonesKnowledge, insight and understanding of the pharma health care space (physician-level prescribing, institutional sales data, payer-prescriber-level data, formulary data, patient-level data, etc.)
Advanced degree in quantitative field or quantitative MBA is preferred.8+ years of combined experience in the pharmaceutical analytics industry and management consultingExpertise in interactive analytics and data visualization (Tableau preferred)Experience in one or more of the following areas preferred : field force sizing, targeting, promotion response, data scienceExperience working in Agile processes and practices
