National Supplier Diversity Leader

The National Supplier Diversity Leader will provide overall operational leadership for Supplier Diversity Programs and play an integral role in shaping supplier diversity strategies to integrate company-wide.

The Supplier Diversity Leader will have primary responsibility for fostering a business culture inclusion of subcontracts that are certified Minority, Woman, LGBT, Veteran, Service Disabled Veteran, Person with Disability Owned and Small Business Enterprises.

The Supplier Diversity Leader will help build a team of Regional Supplier Diversity Managers and work with them and other business stakeholders to evaluate industry best practices and market dynamics to proactively identify opportunities that incorporate diverse suppliers.


  • Develop a company-wide Supplier Diversity strategy and manage all aspects of the program
  • Develop and deploy best industry practices in supplier diversity programs by conducting research consisting of external benchmarking, attending conferences, gaining insight from customers and key vendors, etc.
  • Lead diverse subcontractor, vendor and supplier tracking and reporting effort to internal and external customers.
  • Develop a communication plan and process to report company-wide participation of small, minority, women, veterans, LGBTQ, disability- owned businesses by customer project, trade, core market, year and business unit.
  • Work closely with business owners and procurement categories to incorporate the Supplier Diversity Program into the sourcing process
  • Research and analyze the existing supplier base to identify diverse suppliers and measure spend with those suppliers
  • Research market availability of new diverse suppliers within key geographies and coordinate efforts to add companies to DPR’s portfolio of diverse suppliers.
  • Develop goals and key performance indicators with key internal stakeholders and provide regular updates and reporting on performance.
  • Serve as a representative between the diverse supplier community and DPR and provide general assistance as necessary

  • Manage and support internal and external supplier diversity events
  • Promote DPR as an industry leader with associations and organizations related to supplier diversity and become an active member of those groups.
  • Develop a communication plan, including a website portal for the Supplier Diversity Program and be responsible for the content and maintenance thereof
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Diversity & Inclusion, to set and manage operational goals, objectives and outcomes.
  • Support Regional Leadership teams in the selection process for Regional Supplier Diversity Managers
  • Work with Regional Leadership teams to ensure the highest level of program and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with US Federal government requirements FAR 52.219-8 and 52.219-9 and like requirements of state and local customers.
  • Review and negotiate the supplier diversity and small business subcontracting provisions of contracts with county, state and federal customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to design project-based workforce development best-practices.
  • Requirements

  • 10 years of relevant leadership experience including managing and leading people, designing and leading, projects, supplier diversity programs, events
  • Knowledge of procurement best practices and principles, including small business subcontracting.
  • Experience using electronic sourcing tools / ERP Systems (Workday, Oracle, CMiC, etc.).
  • Research and analytical skills, including experience in conducting stakeholder interviews
  • Ability to function well in ambiguous and / or time-sensitive situations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and navigate across a large, non-hierarchical organization.
  • Skill with off-the-shelf analytical tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint)
