About the Role :

Leads a high performing, customer centric purchasing team within Global Business Services (GBS) providing one or more business services to Boston Scientific.

Ensures consistency with global processes and maximizes operational efficiency.

Your Responsibilities Include :

  • Leads the day to day execution of PO and / or Spot Buyers teams. Focus on buying of non-strategic items, including supplier identification, negotiation and supplier selection.
  • Spot Buyers will focus on goods and services with low dollar thresholds (i.e., $10K - $50K).
  • Lead and drive the PO and / or Spot Buyer resources.
  • Ensure delivery of the PO and / or Spot Buy service with agreed upon SLAs.
  • Lead critical spot Buy negotiations with buyer team support.
  • Ensure Category Strategies are consistently applied for all Spot buys.
  • Executing strategy into operational goals and objectives.
  • Ensures team members consistently follow proper control procedures.
  • Identify process and policy improvement opportunities and champions a culture of continuous improvement. Collaborates with CI Function to prioritize and execute CI projects.
  • Manages client service requests, issues and resolution and reviews / analyzes new services requests.
  • Ensures process specific agreed upon Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are adhered to and engages in root cause analysis of performance issues when they arise.
  • Builds and maintains relationships throughout the organization.
  • Responsible for leading Global PO and / or Spot buyers teams including 1 : 1's; mid year and annual reviews.
  • What We’re Looking For :

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or Related Field.
  • English Level desired : B2+ : (80% - 89%).
  • Desired knowledge : SAP, APICS Certification, Inventory, Microsoft Office.
  • At least 2 years of experience in similar position.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 1 year or more in current position.
  • Annual Performance evaluation rating "Meets Expectations" or "Exceeds Expectations".
