The Senior Data Analyst, Customer Master is part of the team responsible for managing customer data as a business asset across all Thomson Reuters businesses.
This role is accountable for gathering information requirements, entering, maintaining and monitoring core data to ensure compliance with company data governance policies and data quality requirements.
The Senior Data Analyst, Customer Master ensures all master data is accurately loaded and maintained, interacting heavily with business and technical subject matter experts to provide input to project teams to ensure master data is appropriately captured and used.
They support the overall Master Data Management team in the establishment of procedures for detection and correction of data-
quality issues as defined by the Data Governance team. The Senior Data Analyst, Customer Master engages in the ongoing and detailed evaluation of data quality, the identification of anomalies and discrepancies, and the contribution of expertise to understand the root cause and implement corrective measures.
The Senior Data Analyst, Customer Master is responsible for developing and providing expertise on one or more domains of data, focusing on the continuous improvement of existing procedures and protocols around data management operations.
Manages the customer data content on the newly deployed MDM platform via the customer data model
Monitors, validates, and executes data creation and change requests in data hub in an accurate and timely manner.
Develop and provide expertise on one or more data domains (customer domain)
Manage and control risks associated with their respective data domains (customer)
Proactively monitor and control data quality
Support the continuous improvement of master data management processes
Proactively manages the customer domain metadata within the Enterprise Master Data Catalog
Ensures compliance with policies and procedures around data attributes
Ensures new data elements are not duplications of existing core data elements
Ensures timely inactivation of obsolete data elements
Works with Business process owners to help troubleshoot data issues.
Works with Business process owners in defining standard operating procedures, process flows and related documentation for all enterprise master data
Supports the development of projects to ensure master data related items are addressed according to the established standards
Executes data cleansing, data enrichment and testing cycles for system upgrades and projects.

Bachelor's Degree preferred
3+ years’ in a master data application role
Experience in data management & manipulation
Demonstrable capabilities in authoring and managing documentation such as Business Requirements Documents
Experience in translating business requirements to technical specifications
Familiarity with Master Data Management in a global Fortune 500 setting
Familiarity with quality management methodologies (Root cause analysis, 5-whys, Corrective Actions, Preventive Actions)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in working with virtual team members in different locations globally
Ability to work confidentially and responsibly at all levels within an organization, having access to sensitive information
Some experience with SQL, SAP / S4 HANA, Alteryx, Salesforce, and data warehousing a plus
