Import / Export Manager
Position Summary :
Responsible of the Receiving and Shipping areas as well the Storage location. Leads the coordination of all arrangements for import of raw materials and export of finish goods while overseeing the delivery of goods to specific international Distribution Centers (and possible previous stages).
Manages the movement of all products / MRO / equipment and materials in and out of the country in accordance with the local and international law.
Leads inventory Cycle Count activities aimed towards sustainable company asset control.
General roles and responsibilities :
Supervises and coordinates raw material / MRO pick up and import operations securing continuous provision for the production lines.
Supervises and coordinates finish good export to, among others, international Distributions Centers, Sterilizer or Copacker facilities and product returns.
Jointly work with Corporate teams on international transportation development and selection / allocation.
Leads communicative efforts with export / import related authorities and suppliers as necessary to ensure efficient and positive operations.
Anticipates on the research and report of future changes in import / export law as well as on relevant local territory practices.
Actively participates with Corporate Global Trade and Demand Planning teams to constantly review and define strategic business tasks regarding Logistics (site and overall related).
Manages inventory cycle count and control for raw material and finished product in support of asset administration.
Maintains the import / export procedures manual and training documents in accordance with the company and local / international Custom policies;
ensures compliance to regulations of Quality Systems.
Develops, generates and leads Logistics cost saving / lead time / service improvement projects / activities.
Provides overall metrics and logistics reporting on import / export activities including shipments, mode, cost and carriers.
Requirements for application :
Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Engineering or International Trade or related. MBA degree is desirable. Three to five years of experience in supervisory / managerial roles and tasks.
Three to five years of experience and demonstrated knowledge on Customs and Trade topics. Three years minimum experience in manufacturing / trade environment;
medical device industry experience is desirable. Robust leadership and staff management skills. Capable of working in a multifunctional team environment.
Well-developed interpersonal skills. Strong orientation towards Customer Service. Fluent written and oral English.
