Inside Sales Engineer/Technician I

  • Generate and select model numbers based on customer’s specific data or application
  • Develop quotations based on Emerson, customers, and representative’s requirements
  • Utilize system tools to provide customer product application support and review solutions as required with the Inside / Field Sales Representatives
  • Review quotes for technical conformance as in valid model options, configuration ranges, documentation options, and device compatibility to application
  • Participate in all aspects of preparing the quotation package and ensure that it is sent to the customer. This includes the technical, commercial,and competitive strategy appropriate for the selling opportunity
  • Follow up on sent proposals to increase sales hit rate for specific customers
  • Perform technical review of orders to ensure the processing of correct product(s) and the availability of all the technical requirements and documentation needed by the factory and or customer
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of Emerson quotation tools and pricing policies;is responsible to continually enhance knowledge of Automation Solution products, applications, and industries served
  • Understand and consistently apply Emerson commercial policies and business practices related to quote entry
  • Ensure compliance with import / export, contract, and government requirements. Screen orders for compliance with the business unit Terms and Conditions, agreements and standards
  • Provide backup and support for internal and external sales personnel / s to maintain good service levels
  • Provide consulting support to Order Entry Analystor Order Management when processing an order
  • Achieve targets on productivity, service levels,and quality
  • Perform other duties as required Requirements
  • Education : o For Inside Sales Engineer I : Bachelor’sDegree in engineering o For Inside Sales Technician I : Currently studying an engineering career, advanced
  • Experience : 1 -2 year of sales related customer service experience is preferred
  • Solid prioritizing and organizational skills along with being a self-starter
  • Solid keyboard skills and a strong proficiency for using Windows & MS Office applications is a must
  • Has an interest in the mix of technical, customer service, and sales
  • Willing to work on flexible shift schedule based on business needs
