Reporting to the Director of Quality, the jobholder will be responsible for leading the Quality Control function for the Coyol, Costa Rica Site.
The Quality Manager will work cross-functionally with value stream leaders on site priorities as well as play a major role in site remediation.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and presentation skills as well as have the ability to interface effectively with employees of all levels throughout the organization.
Provides oversight and direction on continuous improvement projects
Leads initiatives to proactively mitigate / eliminate risk within Quality Control
Provides oversight and direction to team during non-conformance evaluations (root cause analysis and corrective / preventive action)
Provides leadership, mentoring and supervision within the Quality Control department.
Drive and influence a quality culture within operations
Formulates and manages the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, procedures and systems pertaining to Quality
Education / Experience : Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering, Science. Business, Computer Science, MIS or Finance-related curriculum.
Licenses / Certifications : Preferred candidate will have Six Sigma experience or certification. 5-8 years’ experience in Medical Device or Healthcare (or experience in a regulated industry) leading multi discipline projects or programs.
2-5 years of experience managing a team.
Competences : Self-starter with a high degree of flexibility driven by the overriding deliverable of the particular project.
Outstanding facilitation skills and ability to manage business related discussion, influence key stakeholders, and drive groups towards decisions.
Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to initiate and drive changes in process.
Ability to prioritize and organize multiple tasks, and maintain focus amidst interruptions. Proficient in using MS Project and other project management tools.
