Position Summary :
The GBS PMO Senior Manager is a high-impact position with goals focused on driving program execution that reshapes Thermo Fisher and GBS in support of our vision and strategy (STRAP).
Leading teams across the organization’s business units and functions, and in coordination with key stakeholders, the GBS PMO Senior Manager brings consistency, integrity and intensity into strategy-critical GBS program execution
Collaborate with key program stakeholders and drive the program implementation across workstreams and business groups
Ensure delivery of the program against the implementation plan with weekly reporting cadence and manage program risks, issues, actions and decisions
Produce high quality, leadership reporting for the program, escalate critical issues and define mitigation strategies
Manage the Risk Register and lead regular deep-dive risk and issue resolution sessions during the course of the program
Own the consolidated project plan, monitor and report on key milestones and facilitate regular project re-planning sessions
Report on project financials in conjunction with GBS Finance to ensure alignment with the business case
Ensure high quality project documentation is consistently used and maintained across the program
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., MBA, PMP, etc.) a plus
Excellent project planning and management skills, ensuring that cross-functional team members understand roles and responsibilities and key deadlines are met
Strong experience in managing large cross-functional business transformation projects in a PMO capacity
Good excel skills and excellent presentation skills using power point, suitable for exec level presentations
Proven track record of managing diverse stakeholders in a high-pace, ambiguous environment
Extensive experience leading complex, multi-regional business transformation and / or shared services projects
