Senior BI Engineer What We Need We are currently seeking a solid Senior BI Engineer who has expertise in both back-end data processing technologies as well as building cutting edge data visualizations to provide self-service actionable analytics products.

  • Work with business units to gather requirements, design, model, develop & optimize BI solutions to meet data management and data reporting objectives.
  • Build rich and dynamic dashboards using Tableau, PowerBI and Snowflake. + Design and publish custom dashboards and reports for business functions, stakeholders and corporate users around the company.
  • Design and model data flows and procedures ensuring data quality and integrity. + Working with data engineers, power users and application engineers to ensure that data sets feeding the analytics platforms are tuned for optimal performance and advice on best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the processes used and the content produced by the BI platform. Provide ongoing maintenance support, report modifications and optimization.
  • Work with business stakeholders to define and improve standardized and ad-hoc analytics / reporting capabilities and develop all components of the analytics platform.
  • Provide input into the technical architecture and the data warehouse technology stack. + Create functional and technical design documents and maintain documentation for all reports and dashboards created or modified.
  • Create and maintain a positive, cohesive work environment. Your Professional Qualifications + Either BS Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science and / or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of business intelligence and reporting experience. + 7+ years of experience with either BI / Reporting software products (Power BI, Tableau), Big Data technologies, T-SQL and / or PL / SQL.
  • Statistics foundation with working knowledge of control charts, data modeling, statistical significance and study design.
  • Ability of timeliness and the ability to multitask and accomplish assigned tasks within project timelines. + Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and maintain cohesive relationships.
  • Demonstrate ability to plan, organize and execute multiple complex analytics projects. + Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal / written communication skills. + Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, Power BI or Tableau Training or Certification is a plus + Knowledge of Healthcare Industry standards and requirements is a plus.
