About the Product Security Team :
F5 Inc's Security Business owns some of the fastest-growing products in the company’s portfolio. As a key driver of F5’s future growth, the security business is an area of strategic investment and interest for F5.
The security product management team is responsible for driving the strategy and you will join the security business unit in driving the growth of our footprint in the security market and launching the next-gen security products of F5!
This Position Will :
Develop product strategy and roadmap that delivers on our Zero Trust Access Service, NGINX, and BIG-IP APM product mission and priorities
Define problem statements and product requirements with transparency and care
Design and prioritize security features and standards taking into consideration market trends, customer needs and competitive differentiation
Work closely with engineering teams to deliver new features with velocity
Define priorities to ensure successful product launches on time and with quality
Drive usage and adoption of our products with customers
Evangelize features internally and externally to ensure users benefit and derive value from the products we build and Sales is enabled to sell and win
Be a positive team member who goes beyond oneself and elevates the performance of the entire team
Ensure the right problems are being solved to create products that customers love.
Primary responsibilities :
Define vision and build roadmap for a feature area and the path to achieve the objectives
Launch Zero Trust Access products with APIs, drive and support acquisition, activation, retention, referral and revenue.
Deliver differentiated security products that are in alignment with market trends and delight customers
Lead feature planning, prioritization and setting up the execution direction of engineering teams
Collaborate across sales, marketing and other functional teams to drive GTM activities and Sales enablement
Engage with customers to drive adoption of products, identify unmet needs, and confirm use cases are achieving the intended goals
Conduct market, customer conversations and financial return on investment analyses to support data-driven product / solution roadmap decisions and prioritize product backlog
Develop and deliver compelling product positioning with clear competitive differentiation presenting to all audiences including executives, customers, partners and analysts
Required skills experience and qualifications :
Proven track record as a product manager with experience in SaaS, APIs and enterprise security products
Ability to straddle across strategy, technical depth and execution in product delivery
Solid understanding of networking, application delivery and application security concepts
Knowledge of programmability at the data plane and control plane (REST, OpenAPI), HTTP, HTTPS, certificates, SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SASE and Zero Trust security concepts
Strong understanding of Kubernetes, containers, microservices and related environments, and cloud native ecosystem with DevOps toolsets
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
10+ years experience in product management or relevant technical experience in engineering, IT, technical sales, or consulting related to security and network products
5+ years of experience in security and strong knowledge of enterprise networking
Minimum of a Bachelors in Engineering or relevant technical field required. Graduate degree in science, engineering or business is a plus
