Supports technology projects that add to core competencies and / or reduce costs. Supports successful product launches as an Operations Team Member on Purchased Finished Goods (PFG) teams.
May act as Operations Team Leader smaller projects. Duties include, but are not limited to, providing input for Vendor Changes and Issues, ensures Manufacturing Engineering Compliance to Smith & Nephew Standards and Procedures, and coordination of all Operations deliverables.
Consistently meets expectations while accomplishing tasks and, meeting goals and objectives in a timely manner. Completes assignments with directional input and periodic guidance.

60% Supports Manufacturing in delivering quality product to the customer on time. Analyzes technical manufacturing problems in the manufacture of machine parts, assemblies, fabricated and purchased items and provides solutions to maintain efficient flow of product.
Analyzes manufacturing problems and customer issues related to design, process and function, and interfaces with all aspects of engineering personnel to give prompt corrective solutions.
20% Support sustaining changes for externally produced products.
10% Develop Robust Processes.
10% Implement and monitor cost savings initiatives.
Requires the ability to travel approximately 15% of the time.
Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
Two (2) years of experience in a Manufacturing related field is preferred or zero (0) years with Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
New Product Development experience is preferred.
Process development experience is preferred.
Project management experience is preferred.
Medical device experience is preferred.
Must be able to communicate effectively, while working with cross-functional teams, in order to achieve desired results.
Must be able to complete assignments with directional input and periodic guidance
Requires the ability to handle tight deadlines, frequent assignment changes, periodic heavy workload, rapidly changing technology, and dynamic business growth
Requires organizational and time management skills.
Requires the ability to understand and follow Quality Systems
Basic knowledge of the QSR (especially Design Control & Process Validation) is preferred.
