Main duties and responsibilities

  • Administer the fixed assets in the SSC according to Corporate and local regulations.
  • Execute periodic controls to ensure the Fixed Assets system is accurate and updated.
  • Coordinate and control fixed asset movements at the office.
  • Coordinate donation, destruction or recycling of assets respecting the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) requirements.
  • Manage the local purchase or import processes of Fixed Assets.
  • Capitalize, dispose or adjust Fixed Assets accounting as required and respecting local and Corporate guidelines.
  • Support internal, external or government ad-hoc requests or audits related to Fixed Assets.
  • Maintain the enough inventory of assets to supply Internal needs. This includes driving coordination and proper forecast with areas in SSC.
  • Accurate bookkeeping of general expenses as per Budget and according to local procedures around digital invoice, IFRS (statutory accounting) and USGAAP (corporate requests).
  • Build the annual and quarterly SSC’s Budget in coordination with different areas across SSC and project managers.
  • Calculate FTE average rate for intercompany billing purposes.
  • Analyze monthly and quarterly Budget vs actuals performance. Drive any conversation or action required to produce better estimations.
  • Prepare and submit monthly and annual tax returns, as well informative reporting.
  • Prepare the financial statements of the SSC and shared results with upper management.
  • Run budget exceptions thru approvals according to DOA.
  • Ensure the Cash Flow performance is healthy.
  • Respond to general internal customer requests
  • Participates in team projects as required
  • Other duties as required
  • Education and trainings

  • Degree in accounting or finance
  • Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS
  • Fluent spoken and written English and Spanish. Any other language skills are a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, mainly Excel.
  • Relevant working experience and / or knowledge of SAP
  • Experience using Hyperion
  • Qualifications and experience

  • 5 years of relevant working accounting experience in a SSC environment in a matrixed international company (preferably American or Multinational company)
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with various departments to resolve issues
  • Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office technology
  • Proficiency in email and calendar systems, preferably Microsoft Outlook
  • Demonstrated detail-orientation
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, learn new concepts / processes and improve current processes
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous deliverables, working in a demanding environment
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Physical and mental requirements

  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and multi-task
  • Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, attention to detail and ability to communicate complicated issues effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to perform consistently under varying business pressure as well as ability to adapt to a quickly changing environment
