What You'll Do

The Business Development Representative is a specialized resource which allows for a greater depth of knowledge around Cisco’s architectures.

The BDR develops and closes opportunities from qualified leads, working directly with the customer, engineering and partners.

Candidates will jump start their Cisco sales career by joining the Demand Response Team, part of the Global Virtual Sales and Engineering organization with opportunity for future growth and promotion.

You will respond to customers who want to interact with Cisco, understand their needs and work with partners to provide solutions.

You will work closely with and leverage selected channel partners to maximize new sales opportunities. You will manage sales opportunities while using cutting-edge technologies to remotely interface with customers and leverage new sales models (cloud, services & software) to help customers maximizing their revenue.

You’ll manage full sales lifecycle for qualified opportunities and help generate pipeline in all segments of Cisco’s business.

Who You Are

If you enjoy selling in a changing environment, are goal motivated and believe in performance rewards for exceeding annual sales goals through strong collaboration with partners and internal stakeholders, we have a place for you.

  • 2 years’ (early in career) B2B selling experience in a similar or adjacent industry, start-up or consultancy company, ideally in sales with tech knowledge.
  • Tech Education background
  • Security knowledge is a plus
  • Experience owning the full sales cycle (developing and closing opportunities, working closelycustomers and / or partners
  • Passionate about Sales and building positive relationships with customers
  • Highly motivated candidates with determination, tenacity and drive
  • Willingness to learn and launch sales experience and technology expertise
  • Flexible and resilient problem solver
  • Passionate about IT and the ability to tap into technology
  • History of career progression and desire for professional development
  • Thrives in a team environment
  • English and Spanish fluent
  • BS / BA Equivalent
