Within CIBG is a highly skilled set of strategists, storytellers, and data ninjas that are crafting the future direction of CIBG by rationalizing the opportunities, research data within the context of external market factors, and driving towards efficient and scalable solutions.

Known as Strategy, Planning, and Operations (SPO), this team is looking for more innovators to drive strategy, re-engineer processes, and steer cross-functional teams to build and deliver great products.

Success in the Role : What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?

You are a customer-centric, self-starter, and excellent teammate who loves transformational work with experience in a high achievement-oriented environment.

In your first 30 days, you will quickly come up to speed on our product portfolio (, vSphere, VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), VMware Cloud (VMC), vSAN, etc.

and gain a grasp on new technology concepts / initiatives in our pipeline.

By day 90, you are driving initiatives, working across organizations, managing the business, and structuring approaches to new opportunities.

After 180 days, you are providing thought leadership to the SPO PMO team, driving toward key outcomes from your initiatives, and on a trajectory to be a trusted and sought-after resource.

The Work : What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?

Manage the deliverable / milestones and associated work for VCF the Private Cloud, ensuring cross functional alignment to enable VMware’s Multi Cloud strategy.

Develop and manage financial forecasting models for LCM programs, in close alliance with Sales, Professional Services (PS), and Finance teams to advance key business priorities.

Partner with cross functional teams to drive day-to-day operations and help deliver the Multi Cloud and Software as a Service (SaaS) Acceleration Plan.

Focal point for escalations from the field of any sales, LCM, or delivery operations to identify at earlier stage and reduce risk.

Identify and provide key metrics to enable executive-facing dashboards to track progress and drive improvements of solutions and processes.

Conduct in-depth evaluations of our business and develop key value drivers to identify growth and improvement opportunities with a special focus on PS.

Within the Strategic Program Management Team, the hiring manager for this role is Kent Young, Manager of CIBG Program Management Office (PMO).

Kent has been with VMware for 4 years and is building this PMO team within SPO in order to realize the Multi Cloud strategy.

Where is this role located?

Flexible : The location of this role is flexible within Costa Rica. Work could be done from our Heredia, Costa Rica office some days during a week and other days from a non-VMware location.
